Plan Something New!

Need a new way to organize your schedule-why not make yourself a planner to help remember all those important events. I got the idea to make my own from a dear friend of mine. You can use any book cover or even make your own from chipboard. I covered it with old dictionary paper, stamped the large ornate frame and the date and painted the whole cover with a shimmery type spray. The little crown charm is another stamp that I stamped on frosted shrink plastic and attached to a chandelier type crystal. The black crystal knob was one from 7gypsies that I painted black with Copic markers. I created the roses by just cutting out circles and cutting them into spirals. These stamps are all Superclear polymer made in the Imagebox. Since I work in Photoshop to do my stamps-I try to get as many images as I can on a sheet. IF you own a Mac instead of a PC you can still use the products just not the software that comes in the kits so go out and try to make one of your own custom stamps today. Once you start you won't be able to stop.

Precious Metal Clay

We know a lot of you use our kits for making small stamps for on precious metal clay, check out our instructions for advice on making your negatives using free software.
Below are pictures of cufflinks made using stamps created by the imagepac daylight kit. These are an excellent idea for customised christmas or birthday gifts. Send us your pictures of any silver clay projects and earn some free daylight sachets if we're impressed! Note that for detailed negatives with small lines we recommend printing on imageblack inkjet film rather than the 45gsm paper.

Show Time!

Thanks to all those who came to our stand at the Hobby Crafts show in Birmingham NEC earlier this week. Gail helped on the first day and her stamped owl bag went down a storm - some people thought the negative was of a monster but once they saw the stamped up image, they admired the cute owl!

My husband helped me for the other 3 days and he was so enthused by the stamps he made from his own drawings (he even sold a few!) that is now talking about setting up a stamp making business....! To those of you who bought kits at the show, we're looking forward to seeing your stamps and projects - please email them into us and there will be a few sachets available for the best ones!

The next shows will be CHA in Anaheim, Paperworld in Frankfurt and Stitches at our own NEC so we have a busy start to 2010. Lara will be organising some great make n takes at CHA (booth 1568) and will be previewing some here soon - you can already see some of her amazing projects on this blog.

Introduction: welcome to our blog!

We welcome you to the Photocentric Blog! Here's a bit of background information to get us started.... Photocentric was set up in 2002 with the aim of making stamp making easy. Originally our products were aimed at business stamp makers but gradually the craft market has become just as important to us.
