‘Everyday You’ Mini Album by Valerie Mangan

Thank you very much to Valerie Mangan for sending in some piccies of this bright and colourful mini album created using stamps from the FREE Aug downloads. Over to Valerie to explain how she put this together...

What you need

Photocentric August Stamps
Various heat embossing powders (I used American Crafts Zing, color: butter)
Various ink pads (I used VersaMark, Staz On – black, asst. Jenni Bowlin Studio inks)
Patterned paper, die cuts, letter stickers & embellishments: Jillibean Soup
White cardstock: Wausa
Washi tape strips, Bakers twine (Twinery), staples (Tim Holtz), metal binder ring
Adhesive dots and dimensional tabs.

How to create this

Concept: This mini features several photos of my child with very brief journaling prompted by the stamp sentiment ‘everyday you...’. I chose one word for each page to describe something my daughter does every day.
1)      Make 14 white cardstock tags at 3” x 6”
2)      Decorate cover with heat embossed ‘Everyday You’ sentiment, butterfly and stamped hearts, along with a variety of layered embellishments.
3)      Use a variety of stamps and techniques to decorate the left-hand pages, using ‘Everyday You’ as the prompt for the one word journaling. Apply embellishments
4)      Cover right hand tags with patterned paper and apply photo. Embellish as desired.
5)      Assemble book by attaching tags back to back.

Time taken: Approx. 3 hours

TIPS
Stick with one line of papers and embellishments to give your mini a cohesive look.
Use a 6 x 6 pad to maximize paper usage.
Stamp and emboss ‘extra’ elements to streamline assembly process.
